Through 2026, xAI layered on stricter moderation after high-profile non-consensual deepfake incidents and legal pressure (including a Dutch court injunction). The result: a removed NSFW toggle, paid-only access, disappearing extended NSFW videos, and "predictive" moderation that blocks the likely output before it renders.
